Some states are saying no, by having lower business taxes than the other. Asking for tax breaks is nothing but company saying to state, your taxes are too high. If you want my business, lower your taxes or I am going elsewhere. Nothing wrong with that. You know what is expense to taxpayers... when state says, you have to pay me to do business here... cause when business refuse, it's taxpayer who lose potential profit.

And, by the way, what do you think "state construction subsidy" is?

    Moron.....

1,500 jobs....vs 25,000 jobs...and they are putting those offices outside of her district, you moron...

Ocasio-Cortez Had A Plan With Her Tweet About Amazon...And Then It Got Punched In The Mouth

The giant online retailer said it has signed a new lease for 335,000 square feet on Manhattan’s west side in the new Hudson Yards neighborhood, where it will have more than 1,500 employees. The new lease represents Amazon’s largest expansion in New York since the company stunned the city by abandoning plans to locate its second headquarters in the Queens neighborhood of Long Island City.

    […]

For Amazon, the new lease and accompanying jobs come in a manner that couldn’t be more different from its earlier dealings in New York. Amazon said it is taking the space—in a property being redeveloped at 410 Tenth Avenue—without any special tax credits or other inducements like those it had been offered previously. And this time, the company ran no cross-country tournament, in which some cities felt they were being played against each other in the contest last year for what Amazon termed its “HQ2” site and the jobs it would bring.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo, both Democrats, had courted Amazon—and the company’s pledge to create 25,000 new jobs—

Which is how it should work. Bezo's wanted the benefits of being located in New York but didn't want to pay for it.

That dumb c*nt is trying to take a credit for something that she has no control over. Plus, when it she realized she fucked up, she's trying to make it look like that it was her doing all along and wants to take credit for it.

AOC is a retard with a photogenic face. She was "cast" to play the role of "Congressturd" and dutifully parrots the lines she is given.

But yet people didn't blame her? You didn't blame her even though she had no control over the situation?

    What do you know?

If she can't be blamed, she can't take credit for it neither.

The deal has nothing to do with her. If anyone blames her, it's Cuomo and Deblasio for making the pretty good deal for New York looks bad. I think they should thank her for not being blamed for losing a deal.

It's all matter of perception. Politicians always claim they did great job, because the results of their failure are usually visible long after they're gone. Beside... Stupid people gloat over everything they do.
