    That's how I cook, simple, little seasoning. My mom overcooked veggies because she's German and goiters are or were a problem there. She was convinced raw vegetables were the culprit.

    My mom was always a great cook thankfully. She still is a great cook.

    The chef at the coffee shop that gave me food poisoning inspired me to stop eating out & make myself occasionally sick instead.

    it is true that BRASSICA veggies are GOITREGENIC ----- like cabbage and broccoli

    And interesting enough, he gladly revolutionized mass-produced restaurant food when he was head chef for Howard Johnson's hotel restaurants. He is an interesting guy and is all for making good food accessible to every day people. He is not someone who has to have exotic ingredients to make good chow.
