Wouldn't it be great if we could buy life and car insurance like Obamacare

Lets say Joe is 40 yrs old with no life insurance. He discovers he has terminal cancer and a year to live. He can get an Obama Life insurance policy at regular rates with a preexisting cond...........40 yr old for a million in death benefit would cost about 100 a month. Joe pays the insurance company 1200 total and gets a million...what a deal.

Sue has no car insurance. She is at fault, smashes some people and property up to 500,000. No problem. Sue calls the Obama car insurance and gets full coverage right at the scene without question. She pays her 100 premium and cancels it with all 500k paid.

Ricardo has no fire ins on his home. He comes home to his house in cinders. No problem. Ricardo calls the Obama fire insurance and his 500,000 home is rebuilt with just a 1500 premium

This is how insurance should work. Only buy it when you need it. Why pay premiums?

It's not like it's shared risk or anything like that.

It's all about you not having to pay big bills if you incur them.

So Joe is dying and capitalism is fine. So capitalism is simply more important than Joe, Sue, Ricardo and all the others. It is because the insurance company is more important than Joe is. The company should not have business risk so Joe must die.

If it worked like obamacare, Joe, Sue, and Ricardo would get theirs for free and my rates would go up 30% a year

That seems to be how they see it. But to be fair, I don't think they consider it in economic terms at all. All too many voters have come to see government as an all-purpose tool to get what they want. Candidate 'X' says "Vote for me and you'll get free health care (college, ubi, retirement, etc, etc ...) and they vote for candidate 'X'. They don't give a shit about the repercussions.

What???.....Capitalism didn't kill Joe. Joe's genetics killed Joe. Joe would have gotten cancer even if he were a Communist in Roosha.
If the average insurance company collected 1000 in premium and paid out 2 million in benefits per claim, how long would they be open?

That´s the business risk, dude. If you try to make money with what should not be a merchandise then don´t ask for pity. If you become a mercenary and you get shot, you don´t sue your opponent for smart money.

I appreciate the business advice very much. I've been a self employed financial professional since Reagan was President and will store your advice for further processing and usage.
